Early Childhood Center Registration

Take the next big leap into early childhood learning — the adventure begins here! Here at the Stafford Early Childhood Center, we are building brains one neuron at a time.

Eligibility for PK-3 & PK-4

The Texas Legislature determines eligibility requirements for free, public Pre-K in Texas. When the Texas legislature established the Pre-K program the intent was, and still is, to provide early learning experiences to students who are most at risk for school failure. Therefore, the eligibility is limited. The legislature believed that a high-quality Pre-K program could mitigate the impact of the at-risk characteristics, thereby assisting these students to become school ready when they enter Kindergarten.  Stafford MSD offers a Pre-K program for eligible students who turn 3 or 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year in which they intend to enroll.  The student must meet one of the requirements listed below. If a student does not meet one of the requirements, then the acceptance will be contingent on a fee TBD.
